Injuries for Colts look to keep on coming

Indianapolis Colts president Bill Polian confirmed Thursday that tight end Dallas Clark is out for an indefinite period with a hand/wrist injury, and the team also said that wideout Austin Collie is also sidelined after thumb surgery.

Polian told WISH-TV that Clark would meet with doctors to verify the extent of the injury and how long he will be sidelined. Coach Jim Caldwell would only validate that Clark was being evaluated.

Peyton Manning has combined with Clark to structure one of the most prolific quarterback-tight end combos in NFL history. Clark ranks third on the team with 37 catches for 347 yards this term after catching 100 passes for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns last term.

Collie has six touchdown catches and 44 total for 503 yards in six games this term. The team re-signed tight finish Gijon Robinson on Wednesday. Indianapolis, in its bye week, will play division adversary Houston on Nov. 1.
